150 years on Railway Road: welcoming Dalkey Pharmacy to HealthPoint
Since 1877, Dalkey Pharmacy has looked after its community from Railway Road. In 2027, it turns 150.
We are very proud that this remarkable pharmacy has joined HealthPoint, and we look forward to serving the people of Dalkey and celebrating this milestone with them and our team.
A pharmacy worth looking after
Dalkey Pharmacy is a beautiful, traditional pharmacy with a character all its own. For generations, people have come through its door for a prescription, a question or a bit of advice from someone who knows them. That kind of trust takes a long time to earn, and we don't take it lightly.
It has been a real pleasure getting to know Bláithín O'Brien and her team. We're delighted that Bláithín will continue to support the pharmacy, working there on some days.
We see ourselves as custodians of what is already here. We want to preserve the character, heritage and historic features that make Dalkey Pharmacy so special, while supporting the team to keep providing great care for many years to come.

What's coming
HealthPoint began with Keane's Pharmacy in Mullingar in 2008 and is now a growing group of Irish community pharmacies across Westmeath, Meath, Offaly and Dublin. Being part of the group will bring some new things to Dalkey.
We want to complement the services already in place, make things more convenient for patients and support our team in the pharmacy. We're settling in at the moment, and we hope to launch these in early 2027:
The HealthPoint Pharmacy app: order your prescription in the app, or call the pharmacy as you always have.
MediTrack™: follows every prescription through the pharmacy, so it's ready when we say it is.
HealthPoint PULSE™: asks patients how we did. We review the results every month, pharmacy by pharmacy, and act on them.
Celebrating 150 years together
A birthday like this belongs to Dalkey as much as it does to the pharmacy, so we want to mark it with the people who made it possible: our patients, our neighbours and our team. We'll share our plans closer to the time.
