Celebrating World Pharmacists Day at HealthPoint

Today, 25 September, is World Pharmacists Day — an opportunity to thank the people who care for patients in our pharmacies every day.

At HealthPoint, that thanks extends to our whole team: pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, front of shop advisers, trainers and educators. Everyone plays a part in helping patients feel welcome, listened to and supported.

Whether it’s explaining a medicine, answering a question or taking a few extra minutes with someone who needs reassurance, these everyday interactions matter. They build the trust that sits at the heart of community pharmacy.

Recognition at Leinster House

Yesterday, John Keane, pharmacist and owner of HealthPoint Pharmacy, joined a delegation from the Irish Pharmacy Union at Leinster House for Dáil statements recognising the contribution of pharmacists to healthcare in Ireland.

During the session, Minister for Health Jennifer Carroll MacNeill thanked pharmacists and pharmacy teams for their ongoing professionalism, support and care in our communities.

It was John’s first time attending a Dáil session and a proud moment to hear the work of the profession recognised. It was also an opportunity to reflect on the people across our pharmacies whose daily efforts make that contribution possible.
